Order Policy

All orders must be placed through our website, approved order form, or direct invoice. Orders are not confirmed until the required payment or deposit is received. Custom orders may require additional consultation and design approval before confirmation. Three Petals Cakes & Catering reserves the right to decline orders based on scheduling availability, design limitations, or ingredient availability.

E-mail and Correspondence

​Three Petals Cakes & Catering communicates via e-mail (tpcc@threepetalscakesandcatering.com) for ordering purposes correspondence of all natures. This guarantees a paper trail of our conversations and ensures that your information and requests remain in one place accessible to us both. Please note that I will respond to an e-mail within 24 hours and will not be readily available via text or DM if you message me through another medium.

Deposits & Payments

All order inquiries must fill out an inquiry form to be considered. Upon submission, I will follow up with you within 48 hours. Custom and large orders require a 50% deposit to secure the date within 24 hours of confirmation. Remaining balances must be paid 7 days before the order pickup or delivery date. Orders will not be prepared until payment requirements are met. Accepted payment methods include ApplePay, Zelle, CashApp, online checkout, invoices, or other approved payment platforms listed on our website. Every invoice will have an 8% South Carolina Retail Sales Tax and a 2% Richland County Hospitality Tax added to the total.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because our desserts are made fresh to order, cancellations must be requested at least 7 business days prior to pickup or delivery to receive full deposit. Orders cancelled within 7 business days and preparation has begun will not qualify for any refund.

In the event Three Petals Cakes & Catering has to cancel your cake order within a one-week window of planned pick up (illness, emergency, etc.), we will contact you as soon as possible so you can make other arrangements. Your deposit or payment will be fully refunded, and you will receive a $25 credit toward a future order. Please note that your refund may not be returned to your original method of payment, but in another form.

Order Changes

Custom orders can be altered up to 2 weeks prior to your pick-up/delivery date date. However, you may incur the cost of any accents, toppers or specialty ingredients already purchased to execute your cake design. Last-minute changes cannot be guaranteed and may result in additional charges depending on the modification.

Pickup Policy

Customers are responsible for picking up their orders at the scheduled pickup time. Once the order leaves the possession of Three Petals Cakes & Catering, we are not responsible for damage caused during transport or handling. Customers should transport cakes on a flat surface and in a temperature-controlled vehicle.

Delivery Policy

Delivery is available for an additional fee depending on location, order size, and availability. Customers must ensure someone is available to receive the order at the scheduled delivery time. Three Petals Cakes & Catering is not responsible for damage to products after successful delivery.

Design Disclaimer

Every effort will be made to match requested designs, colors, and inspiration photos. However, due to the artistic nature of custom cakes, I will never exactly copy an inspiration photo or another baker, but am happy to consider incorporating various similar elements of another design on your cake. Slight variations in color, design elements, and decoration may occur.

Allergen Disclaimer

Our kitchen may process common allergens including:

• Eggs
• Dairy
• Soy
• Tree nuts
• Peanuts

Although we take precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Licensing & Cottage Law

​Three Petals Cakes & Catering LLC is a licensed home retail bakery in the state of South Carolina, approved to do business under South Carolina’s Cottage Law. My home kitchen is not subject to DHEC inspections, but meets all standards required by Cottage Law.

Photography Release

Three Petals Cakes & Catering reserves the right to photograph products for use on our website, marketing materials, and social media platforms.

Agreement

By placing an order with Three Petals Cakes & Catering, customers acknowledge that they have read and agree to these terms and policies.
